{"id":8501,"date":"2021-05-04T13:20:47","date_gmt":"2021-05-04T20:20:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/publicmyth.com\/blog\/?p=8501"},"modified":"2024-01-19T10:23:52","modified_gmt":"2024-01-19T18:23:52","slug":"salmon-bowls-with-shaina","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/publicmyth.com\/blog\/salmon-bowls-with-shaina\/","title":{"rendered":"Salmon Bowls with Shaina!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">INGREDIENTS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">BOWL<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sesame oil (1 1\/2 tbs)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coconut oil (1 tsp)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fresh ginger, grated (2 tsp)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Garlic, minced (4 cloves)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">SAUCE<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Chicken or veggie broth (1\/2 cup)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sesame oil (1 1\/2 tbs)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tamari sauce (3 tbs)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coconut sugar (1 tbs)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">SALMON &amp; MARINADE<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Salmon fillets (4)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pure maple syrup (2 tbs)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Frozen, shelled edamame (1 cup)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Carrots, cut into matchsticks (4 whole)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Green cabbage, cut into bite-sized pieces (4 cups)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bell pepper, diced (1 whole)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sea salt (1\/2 tsp)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Brown rice (1 1\/2 cups) OR brown rice noodles (1 package)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Green onions for garnish<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Optional: red pepper flakes (1\/4 tsp)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tamari (1 tbs)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dijon mustard (2 tbs)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">INSTRUCTIONS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cook the brown rice or brown rice noodles according to package directions. Set aside<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Combine the salmon marinade ingredients in a small bowl. Place the salmon fillets skin side down on a foil-lined baking sheet. Brush with the marinade. Broil for about 8-10ish minutes, until inside is light pink but not dry. Set aside.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Heat sesame oil and coconut oil in a wok or large skillet. Once hot, add the ginger and garlic, cook for about a minute until the garlic is golden.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the edamame, carrots, and cabbage. Cook, stirring often, until veggies soften, about 8 minutes. Remove the veggie mixture from the wok or frying pan and set aside.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Whisk the sauce ingredients in a small bowl.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pour the sauce into the wok and bring to a simmer. Lower the heat and add the brown rice or brown rice noodles. Give it a really good stir.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Remove the wok from the heat, and stir in the veggies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Place the rice and veggie mixture into individual bowls, top with 1 piece of salmon and garnish with green onions.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ABOUT THE RECIPE<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">These salmon bowls are perfect for lunch or dinner!
