These leggings with pockets made from bamboo consist of 38 pieces in total. Each detail is fastened individually, and sewn with accuracy and durability in mind.
The leggings are made of 38 pieces that are pressed and sewn by one person with multiple machines. This is how we ensure your leggings are made with care. This all takes place at a local factory just blocks away from our West Coast Head Office in Vancouver, BC. We mean it when we refer to our practices as “slow-fashion.” To us slow-fashion and sustainability are not branding strategies or marketable trends. These values have been the default standard for our company founder Kerry Pollock since Public Myth’s conception 2007. What makes Public Myth Pocket Leggings for Women unique?
The design of these was inspired by military cargo pants and thoughtfully created with detail and originality first in mind. We did this by crafting button epaulettes going down the middle of the pocket sewn with double needle construction. This design is featured on all four pockets with the back pockets designed to make a women’s but pop, look good and appear fuller enhancing her natural curves.
The fabric we choose also has a big factor on fit and feel which is why we use bamboo or tencel. Both fabrics breath well, are super soft, comfortable and designed for years of use with proper care. Using these fabrics also enable us to use raw edges which further enhance the pocket details and compliment the natural organic fabrics.

Are Bamboo Leggings Good?
That depends on the quality of the bamboo as not all bamboo fabrics are created equally, as with most things. Lower quality bamboo will shrink and wear prematurely, while higher quality will be preshrunk and last longer. Quality Bamboo leggings like ours can be good for the following reasons;
- Bamboo is thermal regulating which means it helps keep you cool when it’s hot and warm when it’s cool.
- Bamboo has antimicrobial properties that help combat obor making them great for working out or for travel
- Bamboo is soft, sustainable and gentle on your skin.
Pocket Legging 3.0 Version
Since the release of 2.0 Bamboo Pocket Leggings we have brought out a 3.0 version which is made for Tencel Lyocell™ and Organic Cotton making this legging even more sustainable and Eco-friendly. These leggings were introduced in the spring of 2023 with the same detailing, softness, comfort, fit and function and are basically almost impossible to tell apart. Throughout 2025 we will continue to release this legging in small production runs of limited colors so be sure to keep an eye on our website for you next new favorite colors!
For over a decade these leggings have been going strong and have been a staple in many women’s wardrobes so you could say this is a timeless piece. It has lasted through trends and worn by teens to women 60 plus so we don’t see this legging going anywhere soon. It is still our best seller in 2025 so far with the release of the latest color Smoky Brown which is a earthy mid tone brown that pairs well with other neutrals including blacks, white, greys, army/earthy greens and other shades of brown.
